Obidos

Now I am staying on the heaven. Obidos, a verry beautiful countryside village that has some churches in the castle in the west Portugal. Everything is beautiful and photogenic. Brilliant sunshine and white walls, darkgreen windows and flowers, deep shadows and small pathways.... some islamic influences are found in many places. I had some good fado-instrumental lives in bars and talked each other about owners of my arbergia do Fontanario about Congo-Angolan studies. He has very good collections of the Angolan heritage. I will go out another castle village "Marvao" tommorow.

I am staying surrounded by so many Fado House but I cannot enjoy it. I will go out to Sintra, Obidos and Marvao the day after tommorrow. I was looking for "Dikanza" Angolan long bamboo Guirro but cannot get it. I have got very good Reburb in Cairo and can send tommorrow. It is very fantastic sightseeing in Lisboa so I try to enjoy it.

Cairo

At last I had escaped from Kinshasa, now I arrived to Cairo. It is very cool and foggy morning but i tokk no mistake to get the cheapest room. Now I am very thirsty to flowing water and to wash my clothes.
Kinshasa... it is hardly to explain... Kinshasa is Kinshasa the same as 20 years ago, but the development of the RD Congo brought them such the western modernized lifestyle as cybercafes and mobilephones, and it means even if poor people, they must have a internet account and mobilephone. If not, they will fall more difficult life. So, someone are enjoying very rich life more than Japanese. The prices of hotels in Matonge is even USD 15-75. But rooms of USD15-30 are incredibly poor conditions. If you can pay USD35, you can get a littleconfortable room. There are very good alimentations like supermarche in the ville for foreighners but because of frequent power cut beer is little warm. Everything are complicant and everything exist to one place. The street are really filled with people and taxi-buses, they cannot move anywhere in 6-9 in the morning and 18-21 in the evening. So i ccould not go any where concerts were held in the night except of Papa Wemba.
Yesterday, the last day in Kinshasa, I could hardly miss to send my most important percel of this journey by DHL so I did not know it is required official permission that if you want to export anything about cultural usae such like musical instruments. I informed my intentions to DHL but they did not tell me that permission. I hqd to very very difficult process throghout the government beauro. But I got it 10H00 AM and paid USD160 and shipping cost USD1189!! I had noway else to do so. I have done all process at 11H30 and run and run to the airport, I arrived 12H30 and got fliht to Johannesburg 13H00. So many police and soldiers stand before me but I kicked all of them off and go ahead !!
Now I am listening their azaan in the morning sunshine, very different feeling...
